Anchor & Rebar
Setting:
We can offer drilling
and setting of mechanical and chemical anchors in all types of
construction materials. During the past 12 years we have worked
on some fifteen bridge and viaduct refurbishment and strengthening
projects where large quantities of starter bars, shear connectors and
bearing seats have to be installed with a range of various chemical
fixings. Our experience and knowledge of this type of work is
extensive and has enabled us to provide significant time reductions for
our clients
Chain Sawing:
In
situations where a deeper cut is being achieved either by track sawing
or floor sawing we have a range of diamond chain saws which can also be
used to form precise corners without the need to over-cut. These
machines are hydraulically driven and are run by either a petrol, diesel
or 3-phase electric power pack.
Diamond Drilling:
Perfectly
formed round holes drilled with precision in exactly the position
required, through all types of construction materials. Size ranges from
10mm to 750mm available in standard options with special sizes up to
1500mm made to order. Large openings can be formed by stitch drilling
when wall and floor thickness prevent the use of sawing equipment. Drill
rigs can be powered by 110v electric motors, hydraulic or air motors
which allows work to be carried out in almost any environment.
E-Z Drilling:
Our range of operated E-Z drill machines can make light work of heavy duty percussion drilling and with no hand arm vibration risk to the operator. One machine can drill up to 350 holes 28 mm diameter 250 mm deep in an eight hour shift. There is a large range of machines available to suit many different applications and can be adapted upon request to suit specialist projects.
Floor Sawing:
Floor saws with blade diameters from 300mm to 1500mm allow cutting of reinforced concrete and asphalt roads and floor slabs up to a maximum depth of 650mm. Engine driven saws up to 72hp are available for fast accurate cutting in outside or well ventilated areas.
We have often used a number of machines simultaneously to increase output on contracts where there are time restraints, such as carriageway works in a lane rental situation or airports and railway works where there are usually very limited working times.
Also for use in confined environments where engine fumes are not acceptable, such as office blocks, enclosed warehouses etc, we have a range of 3 phase electric saws that can achieve cutting depths of up to 500mm.
Hydraulic Crunching:
Hand held hydraulic crunchers with a crushing force of 300 tons provide safe silent and dust free methods of demolition for concrete walls, floors and staircases from 100mm to 300mm in thickness. On projects where hand held crunchers have not been suitable we have used the Brokk robotic demolition machines.
These machines with either crushing jaws or a breaker attachment provide a safe and practical solution to concrete removal in situations with difficult access and confined environments.
Using either of the above methods, the resulting debris can be crushed small enough to be removed from site by hand if necessary.
Ring Sawing:
The 350mm diameter ring blade that is used on this machine will give a maximum cutting depth of 250mm which allows precise square corner cutting of openings without overcuts.
These machines are hydraulically driven and are run by either a petrol,
diesel or 3-phase electric power pack.
Track Sawing:
Track saws powered by electric, hydraulic or air motors can be used in any environment and once set up can even continue working in tidal situations with remote controlled operation. Saws generally have a blade capacity capable of giving cutting depths of 500mm but can be set up to achieve 800mm cutting depths. Primarily used in situations where wall saws and floor saws cannot gain access or for one off window and door openings.
